BHS Track Qualifies 16 for State

Bartlesville High track and field qualified 16 athletes for 6A State and two relay alternates at Regionals over the weekend and Bartlesville had some outstanding performances in the process.

Campbell Barta broke two Bartlesville High records at the event. Barta broke the record for the 100m, running it in 11.92. This snaps a 39-year BHS record. She also broke her own record in the 200m.

Barta qualified in the 100m, 200m 4x200 relay and long jump.

Other Bruins who are state bound this weekend:

On the girl’s side first:

Kadence Barnett - 4x200 Relay, High Jump, Long Jump (Missed 100m qualifying by .03), Emily Lechuga - 3200m

Sha'rell Jones – Discus

Katherine Manley - 1600m, 4x800 Relay

Evelynn Pratt - 4x200m Relay ALT, 4x800m Relay ALT

Chloe Robbins - 4x200 Relay

Reese Savage - 4x800 Relay

Lauren Shoesmith - 4x800 Relay

Gentry Turner - 1600m, 3200m, 4x800 Relay

Morgan Wasemiller - 4x200 Relay

On the guy’s side:

Conner Bastings - 4x400 Relay

Kade Bostwick - Pole Vault

Skyler Carter - 4x400m Relay ALT

Ben Colliver - High Jump

Reed Gorman - 4x400 Relay

Jack Wahl - 4x400 Relay and high jump 

Colton Walls - 300 Hurdles, 4 x 400 Relay
