Caney Valley Bullpups Get the Best of Dewey
Dewey traveled north of the border to take on the Caney Bullpups on Friday and in the final game of the fall semester, the Bullpups got the best of Dewey, 76-66.
Dewey led 32-26 at halftime, but it was foul trouble that did the Doggers in, as four Doggers fouled out. Ben Matthews led the way for Caney with 19 points, while Peyton Darden added 17.
On the girls side, the Lady Bullpups won a back and forth affair, 49-46. The game was tied up at halftime and knotted up heading into the final frame as well. Dewey had an opportunity to tie it with .5 seconds left, but the Lady Doggers were unable to get the shot off.
